The American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Louisiana Chapter (AAIDD-LA) Annual Conference brings together professionals, advocates, and service providers dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across Louisiana. The conference features educational sessions, policy and practice updates, and networking opportunities designed to strengthen services, promote inclusion, and enhance quality of life for the individuals and families served.
SideLyer plans to engage with clinicians, program administrators, and advocacy leaders who are focused on advancing person-centered care and improving daily living outcomes for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The conference’s emphasis on service quality, inclusive practices, regulatory awareness, and evidence-based supports aligns closely with SideLyer’s mission to enhance safe positioning, protect skin integrity, and promote comfort and dignity in residential, community, and skilled care environments. Through collaboration with Louisiana’s ID/DD community, we aim to contribute practical solutions that strengthen care delivery and support meaningful participation for those served.
